WARNING: SOUND STARTS INSTANTLY DO TO EDITING. Here's a simulation of what I'd hear in my old apartment every time there was a fire alarm activation. The building had as of 2004 when I moved out a Notifier system 5000 panel, with Simplex 4251-20s, "wiffle ball" smokes left over from the old Simplex system (never saw the old panel) with (at least) one truealarm added on, which were slowly being replaced with i3s as they failed. alarms were non ada MA/SS' installed on disconnected 4050-80s set to slow whoop, replacing 4040+4050-80s, and PA400Rs installed in each apartment. I didn't have a 4050-83 or 4050-85 in reach to truly give the proper look. My flip camera's mic added in a extra "wail" effect, so it kind of simulated fire trucks arriving on scene of a false alarm. There was a 3-5 second delay from whent he PA400Rs would sound to when the MA/SS' would sound. Picture the MA/SS multiplied by 35 unsynnced and the PA400R by 125 and a bit more muffled by doors and that'd be. I'd like to thank my poor bird for enduring this. She remembered the sound, and was very agitated after I got done even though she was in the next room with the door shut in her cage. She got a well deserved treat for it.
